Brief Description:  Support for Aligning Engine Mount

Another slow start, but hanging in there. My wife's Soob is dead... again. About a month ago I pulled the engine and replaced the head gaskets and it was running great Then last week one of the rod bearings gave out, so I have a JDM motor on the way because the other is junk. It seems there is a conspiracy to keep me from the BH!

I did manage to work on the dilema of aligning the motor and Avipro mount to the fuselage. I took my engine stand (now sans EJ25 engine) and made an adjustable support for the BH engine. The plan is to place the engine on the stand, line it up and fit the firewall station once and for all. The small strut that runs from the end of the arm downward contains all-thread, so I can adjust the thrust line perfectly. The side to side will be taken care of by slight rotation of the engine support and some shims. The engine will be supported by some wood that's bolted to the support. I hope to have the stand done tomorrow.

My engine is wearing a t-shirt to protect it from debris as I fab the mount. It doesn't help having the Soob in the way, but the chain hoist has to line up to pull the motor. I am WELL blessed to have such a nice, warm shop so I can do this stuff and save some money.
