Brief Description: More verticals...
Well, more time in the project and it seemed that it went sloooow today. There are three verticals that need to be welded in a jig because they make the bulge in the cabin area. Important stuff, since this is the design detail that makes the Bearhawk so roomy. But, it's a pain to have to make a jig for all those parts! Fortunately, I have enough room at the end of the jig table that I can sneak those parts jigs in on the end.
I made a jig for one tube, and then I had to tear it down, clean up the marks and measure/draw/jig for the next two tubes. Finally, I tore that one down and then made the jig for the firewall station, cut the tubes and tack welded it all. So, after four hours of work I have three tubes with kinks in them and a firewall station. Progress, no matter how slow it may seem, is always good!
