Brief Description:  First Three Station Verticals

Another good day today. I was able to add some more pieces to the fuselage.

After doing the tail post, I went over all the alignments for the fuselage one more time and tweaked a bit here and there. Also, in order to fit the verticals in the second station, I had to remove one of the supports for the top of the fuselage. I don't know why I did it that way, but the fuselage top was resting on the jig right where I had to fit some tubes. So, that took a bit of time to move and re-jig that portion. It's looks real ugly, but everything is secure and square.

After that was done, I was able to fit six verticals in all and LIGHTLY tack welded them in place. I'll have to move them a bit when I put in the diagonals and that will help when I have to take them loose. I have to fit the remaining verticals up to and including the firewall before I do the diagonals to help keep the fuselage in alignment. I’ll tackle that tomorrow.

p.s. the EAA clamps that I made came in really handy in this stage. It was time well-spent making those things!
