Brief Description:  Hitch in the longeron bending

I was studying the plans as I’m getting ready to join the top to the bottom. I have the fuselage jig all built and I always wondered if the 1 1/2in drop to station N is from station O or P. The plans made it look like it started at O (kind of). In Beartracks, it indicates bending at O (kind of), and other sources say start at station P and a straight shot to N. I called Bob Barrows and asked him. He did say the short section from P to O should be horizontal and the 1 1/2in drop is from O to N. In practice, he said it probably wouldnt make much of a difference. But he also didn’t dissuade me from doing the bend. The only thing I could think of that it would affect is the alignment of the holes of the wing mount. The mount holes would still be correct of course because they are drilled to match, but the position of the hole in the mount would be a little different in the vertical axis. I went ahead and made the bend since I’m set up for it for the station M bend. It took a bit of figuring, actually quite a bit since I was already set for the next bend. I had to basically take apart everything I set up yesterday, make the jig and realign everything. It may not be the best way to do it, but it turned out just fine.
