Brief Description:  FInished fitting the bottom fuselage Part 2

The cluster is a pretty neat area of different wall thicknesses and diameters coming together. I finished fitting the last of the tubing tonight and the bottom of the fuselage is ready for the next step.

My airplane will be outside all of it's life here in Alaska, part of that will also be on floats. I decided to go ahead and oil the tubes in the bottom section of the fuselage. The next step is to mark all the tube intersections, remove all the diagonals and cross tubes, and drill holes so oil can flow through the entire fuselage bottom. I don't plan on doing any of the verticals or the top. The plan is to wait until all the finish welding is done and then put the oil in the bottom part, rotatiing so all the oil can circulate through all the tubes from one end to the other.

That's me enjoying a cold one after a great day. An iron-clad rule of the shop: If you pop a top, the work stops.
