Brief Description:  Adding cross tubes

Today I fit the first cross tubes in the fuselage! I didn't get much shop time, but I try to do a little every day. I first had to take care to cut the longerons at the tail so they don't overlap. I fould out that I drew the longeron lines so they intersect at the center of the tail post. In looking at the plans. the insides of the longerons actually meet at the tail post and the center of the longeron lines, if extended, would meet about 1 5/8ths inches aft of the tial post center. No big deal. I pulled up the longerons, redrew the lines and bent the tails out a bit so they would line up. I took a deep breath and cut the longerons with my air cut-off tool. I left lots of meat for when the tail post actually gets fitted.

I then was able to put in the first cross tubes, working from back to front. It was fun making my first fits. I took a few trips (actually, quite a few) to the grinder, but it fit great.
