There is an interesting fault in the Hendricks Mfg door handle. You can engage the key lock and it rotates the lock pawl to stop the handle from being able to open in the normal rotation. But, even with the door locked, you can still rotate the outside handle the opposite way, opening the “locked” door as if it had no lock. One solution is to place a block close to the mechanism that prevents it from rotating the opposite way when using the outside handle. This is what I can up with. I had to figure this out before I started with the final window install.
