Brief Description:  Front Doors Part 17

On the advice of Steve at CAC Plastics in Wasilla I bought a tube of Weld-On 16. It’s a glue for polycarbonate material and I used it to butt glue a piece at each affected corner. The stuff is amazing and the strength at even such a small surface area was impressive. Almost all of the repair will be hidden under the angle to hold the windows in anyway. The good news is the TEC 2000 coating didn’t let the glue stick to the surface, only the edges. I even had a blob of glue on one of the test pieces and it popped right off without affecting the surface. Once the windows were in I noticed the ¾ AL angle stood proud of the door frame by the thickness of the window. Now one more thing to do, trim the AL angle.
