Brief Description:  Tail Fabric at Tailwheel attach point

I welded in a box structure at the tail to help give it some rigidity. It’s a very common modification in Alaska, elsewhere too I’m sure. The fabric is a bit tricky to put in because of the acute angle formed at the apex of the structure. I first made a paper template to see if my idea would even work. It seemed to be the ticket, so I went with it. I took a piece of normal fabric, not tape, and cut it to shape. I brushed a very thin bit of glue on the cut line to keep the pinked edge from unraveling and made the piece. I finessed it into place and glued it all down. I even used a piece of string to help clamp it in place at that difficult apex. I’m really happy how it turned out.
