Brief Description: Pilot Side D Window - Inside frame Part 1
It’s always a challenge to figure out what to do on the inside when it comes to fabric or some other treatment. I decided that some parts are fabric, some AL sheet and some fabric. I want fabric on the inside walls and that always has challenges. First on the list is how in the heck am I going to trim the inside of the pilot side D window so there is area for fabric to stick. So, in order to create some gluing surface I decided to form an inside frame that is the same shape the outside frame. I experimented with pie cuts and a sheet metal stretcher and the stretcher won out. I am using some .050 5052 Al sheet, same as the D frame.
