Brief Description:  Putting BLO in the Lower Longerons Part 2

I heated one pint in a pan to about 170F. Then I got up on the ladder and using a plastic syringe I shot it all into one side. I was worried the syringe wouldn’t do well with the hot oil, but it was perfect…it just took awhile. I then heated up the other pint and put it in the other side. After that was done I carefully cleaned around each hole and put a piece of duct tape over the holes. I then was able to rotate the fuselage around in all directions. I left it overnight and drained it the next day, rotating all around. I found four clusters with small pinholes that will be easily welded shut. I drained out around 2 ½-3 cups of oil…not bad considering. I’ll let it set again overnight. I’ll drain out the residual oil, weld the pinholes and weld the holes shut Job done…
