Brief Description:  Fitting the Windshield Part 3

What I decided to do is heat the area with a heat gun on medium heat and use a pair of hand seamers to set the plexiglass to the desired shape. I used a piece of scrap to determine how much heat and how long I should heat it. I removed whatever protective film there was so I didn’t bake it on in the process. Going very slow and deliberate I was able to coax the windshield flanges to where they needed to be. The windshield to wing trim will now fit well and won’t be all wonky. The windshield is one of those things that a person’s eye is drawn to, so getting it to look right is important for me. One thing that was not in my favor is my windshield. I’ve had it a long time and it took a LOT of fiddling to make it work. People now are saying their windshields fit with minimal prep. That’s a good thing that the sizing is sorted at the factory.
