Brief Description:  Reinforcing the axles for skis Part 1

I took today to finish off the last landing gear mod I had in mind. It’s an axle reinforcement for flying on skis. It’s a relatively simple operation but takes time. I had a reamer that I scored on ebay to clean out the welding scale at the inner end of the axle. I was very careful not to harm the inner wall of the axle. The sleeves are a machine fit and as such the inside of the axle needs to be clean as possible. I was also worried about moisture getting in there and corroding everything, sight-unseen. I coated the inside of the axle and the outside of the sleeve with Par-al-ketone corrosion inhibitor.
