Next was to mark the pattern on the AL sheet and cut them out. I used my stomp shear for the top cuts, being careful in the shallow Vee not to go too far. I succeeded in the first piece, not so much on the second. I followed a stray mark and went a bit too far with the blade. Oh well…I’ll just use that one for smaller pieces. Once that was done it was just a matter of fitting and drilling the locations for the nutplates.
