I left the top sides of the boot cowl a bit long so I would have enough material to bend a lip to add some stiffness to the top. Some say it doesn’t need it, but it sure made a difference. I recommend it. The patterns for the top pieces were made and then transferred over to the AL for cutting and fitting.
