Brief Description: FIrewall and exhaust tunnel Part 5
When life (or stupidity!) gives you lemons, make lemonade. I reset the whole firewall process. I created a new mounting flange, got a new exhaust tunnel and set the firewall properly to the bulkheads by the front doors. I then repeated the fitting of the tunnel, but this time with the proper angle. This got me thinking. The aluminum bulkhead at Sta. B is lower in profile than the tube bulkhead in the plans. There is an awful lot of plumbing that goes in this area, so I thought why not make it a bit bigger? So I took the factory bulkhead and made a replica, just 3/4in taller. I fit the bulkhead and then fit the tunnel between the firewall flange and the bulkhead.
