Brief Description: FIrewall and exhaust tunnel Part 4
Absolutely EPIC fail! All that work I did on the exhaust tunnel was for nothing because of a total rookie mistake. I made all the fitments to the firewall and the stainless tunnel without checking the angle of the rear attach point…the bulkhead at Sta. B. The tunnel angles down from the firewall and I put it at 90 degrees. I fussed with it, welded up holes in the stainless and tried to save it, but to no avail. I got another tunnel from Bearhawk aircraft and just started again, but this time with things jigged in place.
I made a new flange out of stainless for the bottom and made some compensation on the short side pieces to accommodate the tunnel angle.
