Once the parts were finished, I bolted it all together with some spacers and fit it as an assembly. It was MUCH easier to do it this way than to try and fit individual pieces. I used a die grinder with a 1/2in burr to slowly carve away the metal until it just fell into place with minimal clearances. It took quite a bit of time fussing with it, but it was worth it not having to remake parts…past experience! Now it’s time to weld.
