Brief Description:  Rear D Window Part 2

After doing a layout on the sheet, I cut the blanks out of the sheet stock. I used the paper template as the final window shape so on the profile I increased the border all around by 1 ½ inches. ¾ for the joggle and ¾ for the flat area to be riveted. Once the sheet was cut I guided it in the bead roller while Rob Taylor turned the crank. The guide fence came in handy for the straight parts, but on the curved part I had to eyeball it…easy goes it! Once the joggle was done, it was time to cut the center piece out. It looked really good, but I knew the aluminum would be all over the place once the middle was out because so much had stretched. I was right…it was a real potato chip! Some very careful work with a shrinker/stretcher and a tiny bit of finesse with my hands the both finally behaved. I polished out the tooling marks and now I have two good looking frames. Now for the flatr frame…
