Brief Description: Elevator and Flap Pulley Brackets Part 2
Well, I spoke with Bob B. and he confirmed it was ok to do what I wanted to do. The problem ended up being there was a 3/16th inch gap between the mount ear and the cluster on the left front side of the bracket. I had fit the bracket the "normal" way and by rotating the bracket toward the rear it widened the gap to far more than I was comfortable with filling in with welding rod. So, I decided to make a new bracket. No big deal...a couple of hours and it was done. It fits properly, giving the top of the pulleys proper clearance. I'm happy with it and finish-welded both brackets. On the stringers...
