Today I fit the wing spar fitting jig in place, tacked them, then welded them. Once, welded, I cleaned them up one more time and bolted them in place. With the 9/16ths steel plate ends and the rigid tube connecting them, I think welding the wing fittings in place will work with minimal distortion. I'll also bolt them in place when putting in the structure for the skylight.
