I got ready for the wing attach points by prepping the pieces that make up the mounts. I welded the reinforcements on the aft mounts and then drilled and bead-blasted the rest. I snuck up on the hole sizes on the front mounts and I’m glad I did. I actually learned from past experience to go really small (1/8th) at the beginning. That way if I’m off I can rescue the piece using a chainsaw file and get it going in the right orientation. One of the holes in one of the front mounts were off. It looked great in the drill press and the other mount was drilled straight, so I don’t know how the misalignment occurred. But, I was able to save the piece with patience and they both are just right. Moving on…
