After a nice night's sleep I went back in the shop and cut out another forward wing attach fitting. This time I put a small amount of lithium grease on the die in case another speck of dirt finds its way in there. But, it pressed out fine...third time's a charm. They both fit the wing spar perfectly.
I'm still debating the best way to weld on the wing fittings. I decided early on the fuselage would go back on the jig table so I would have an extremely stable base to work from. After lining everything up and setting the support blocks, the fuselage checked out great. Even with all the work I did in the rotisserie the fuselage is still dead-on, straight and true...a great place to start the wing fittings. I'm dreading it in a way because there is little, if any, margin for error. But it won't get done by looking at it, so here we go.
I did procrastinate a bit and cleaned the shop...but it really needed it.
