Brief Description:  Control Stick Assembly Part 21

Good day today! I was able to finish fitting the bottom fitting to the second control stick. I don't know why, but it went harder than the one yesterday. I should have finished it when I was at it, but it was getting late.

After fitting, I set up a small jig to line up the sticks with each other and make sure the center of the pivot bolt is 4 7/16ths from the center of the bottom bolt hole. Once double-checked and tacked, I took it all apart and welded the bottoms of the control sticks. With that done, the last bit to do is weld the elevator control arms to the main stick assembly. I also set this up in a small jig. One thing I did to help line everything up is to use the hole in the end of my steel ruler and bolt that with the washers as spacers in between the arms. This helped me make sure it was vertical to the rest of the control stick assembly. Once that was tacked, I finish welded the arms. It's DONE!

Now, on to welding the mountes to the fuselage.
