I spent most of the evening welding in the bushings for the control stick pivots. I clamped the pieces in place, then welded all around until both sides were done. After that, I cut out the center part and ran a fine bead on the inside as well to help support the bushing. I probably didn't need to do that, but it looks better to me. I sanded the inside weld flat. I then ran a reamer through teh holes and the bolts fit perfect!
I had a little time left, so the next thing I did was cut the moiunt rings for the control assembly.
