Just more welding and fab today. I was able to get three of the four pedals attached with the straps. The fourth goes in last because it is welded in the gap at the V. Once that is in, no turning back!
The 3/4in tube slides freely within the outer tube. I had to clean the scale out of the outer tube with a reamer and all the jig prep paid off. The tubes were all aligned and it works easy. I was also able to form the drive arms and fit them. I'm in the process of making the mount bearings for the whole thing. Once these are done, I can tack it all together and finall weld it all.
I counted...there are 64 parts in the rudder pedal assembly! It seemed so easy just looking at the plans. There is a LOT going on here!
