The front 15 inches on the sill are the critical alignment points, so I jigged everything in space and locked this part down in the exact position needed, both left and right. After that was done and I had a repeatable reference point, I went ahead and statred fitting the right side sill. When Russ Erb in his CD said you start "futzing around" to make this fit, he wasn't kidding!
I first coped the front of the tube, then marked the 15 inch point on the tube. I cut a slot SLOWLY in the tube and gradually got it angled up and toward the inside. This tube is similar to having your hands on your hips, and your elbows don't quite line up with your body centerline. This is all because of that 36 1/2 inch measurement at C-S...it bows out.
I cut and "futzed" carefully and got one done. I'm done for the day, the pilot's side is next.
