Went through the instructions, checking off what was done and trying to gain an understanding of the order. The first item left unfinished was to make and install a bracket that attaches to the firewall that allows the flexible brake lines inside the cabin to commect through the firewall to solid aluminum brake lines. Cut the plate to dimensions in the plans, drilled the holes, then drilled the brake line and plate attach holes in the firewall with a unibit. Until I have more pieces to prime I'll wait to prime and rivet the plate. Spent most of the day in the shop but only logged 4 hours of actual work.
Built the bracket plate from a blank piece of aluminum.
Drilled the holes on the firewall where the plate will attach
Not a great pic but you can see the plate cleco'd to the firewall (lower left).
