Brief Description:  Riveting the side skins to lower longerons/gear bo

Well when they said bolting the landing gear legs was optional. I would say, it's not optional. I had to unbolt the outer mounting brackets to remove the two large bolts. I also found that in bolting on the gear legs and then riveting on the bottoms skins I cound not access the top fo the two rear bolts on the mount.

With a drumel I cut back the bottom skins to access the bolt with a socket. Pushed out the bolts for both left and right outer mounting brackets. Which also required me to remove the outer two bolts on the gear box assembly. (two left and two for the right side) Still access for the bucking bars was limited and the only bar I could get in the tight weldement was a small 3/8" x 3/8" x 1 1/2" and since the rivets expand and start dispersing the engergy into the weldement I was really difficult to get the rivets to spec. they ended up less than perfect after multple trys, I felt it best to leave them. recognizing that rivet array and various bolts.
We finished riveting the (With Jenny's help) the right bottom skin to the lower longerons

I started setting the small attachment bolts that connect the side skin to the gear box weldements/longerons. Again access is so limited that I'm going to wait to tighten the bolts to specification until I buy some new gear leg nuts and bolt the brackets back into place and put the 4 bolts back in the outer gear box.

(A very frustrating day, as it felt like I spent more time disassembling the plane than building)
