Reassemble the turtle deck to the aft fuselage sides. There is a serious lact of room back there. I did not need to place as many "shims/spacers" as I had feared. It really leveled out when I started riveting. However, the only place there is any significant "scalloping" is on the forward left side at the cockpit entrance. Of course I am going to see this every time I step into this airplane and it's going to annoy the _____ out of me! I will have to fill this with some epoxy/bondo like others have done.
Still need to finish up a few details but only a few more hours on the aft fuselage remain.
I have drilled the aft fuselage bottom skin but will be leaving it off until I've finished the control pushrods and attached the tail.
Oh, remeber the T/D splice channel and how I made it with the flanges going opposite of what the plans call for? It was fine. Anticlimatic really.
