I did a great deal of planning on how best to accomplish this. Many good suggestions on other builders sites. In the end, I overthought and underperformed. You may note from the pic below how I leveled the entire structure and made many different sized alignment pins. The alignment holes were spot on and were very simple to updrill to 1/4". The problem as with the wing attach blocks. These were already at 3/16. I had difficulty finding enough 6"long bits in progressive sizes. Regardless, I felt that by using the drill press I would have a good chance at correctly placing these holes. Pic 2 shows how I ended up with an ovoid hole (really, it looks worse in person). For the other block I was far less anal and that hole is adequate.
I had to remake the other attach block, drill the precisely match bolt locations and then attempt to drill the blocks through the other side. This turned out to be really easy. I wish I had not pilot drilled the other blocks in the first place. It would have been simpler but the plans direct you to pilot the hole in an earlier step.
Oh well. Now, I am finally done with SNX-08. I have been on this same page for way too long.
