The vertical stabilizer skin fits upon the support skeleton. However, the number 2 and 3 ribs are poorly aligned. Edge distance is unacceptable; inboard, and there is no way to manipulate them enough to even come close. They're seriously malplaced. The skin actually rises slightly above the tip rib on the starboard side.
I suspect that I made a dimensional error when making my ribs. It is unacceptable. I will have to remake those ribs. Hopefully that will be enough and I can salvage the forward and aft spars but....I might have to do them again as well.
It is not a terrible amount of work but I have limited material -it's not like you can go out to Target and pick up that particular type of channel.
Perhaps I can get started tomorrow. A bit of gloom but I am satisfied that it is the right thing to do.
