After much agonizing, I decided to place the ELT antenna on the co-pilot side on the glareshield. The base is angled and the whip itself bends up under the windscreen. A little dab of RTV will keep it from vibrating. It's secure and out of the way. It is somewhat protected. Not that the ELT is of much use but I have now complied with my obligation to the Man.
