Set up the fuel system monitor on the Enigma EFIS.
Sonex tank size is 16 gallons for the conventional gear (only 15 will fit with a nosedragger). Set up was accomplished with 100 LL fuel. Tank was filled in 2 quart increments for accuracy.
I began my zero fuel calibration with one gallon in the tank- I'll consider this unuseable.
Six calibration points 1. Zero Fuel (1 g unuseable); Current value - 1173 2. Three gallons, 20%; Current value - 1031 3. Six gallons. 40%; Current value - 908 4. Nine gallons. 60%; Current value - 786 5. Twelve gallons. 80%; Current value - 659 6. Fifteen gallons. 100%; Current value - 523
This is a current reduction of approximately 11% per three gallon volume (range12-10%). Not absolutely linear but the tank is an irregular shape.
Set my BINGO fuel alarm at 4.5 gallons; that should give me an hour. Rather generous I know but suitable landing fields are not readily available in my home area.
