My order was delivered today and thought it would be a nice change of pace to work on the engine again.
Removed the heads -both sides, and replaced the original push rod tubes and seals with windage tubes and silicone seals. Easily identified the reason for the leak- see pics. I am surprised I did not note the somewhat deformed tube end during assembly. Perhaps I deformed it during installation. Regardless, it was ugly.
Refilled engine oil after reassembly and after about 6 hours there is no hint of leakage.
