Brief Description: Rivetted stiffeners to skin. Made bend on trailing
Backriveted all R-815 stiffeners to R-801PP skin. Had to drill out first rivet due to it bending over. The backrivet tool needed to be ground down a bit on one side to fit in against the stiffener. Once that was done, the rest went well.
Fashion a bender on the edge of my table from a 4 foot section of 3/4" MDF left over from the counter top. put a hinge on the edge and added pipe clamps on sides for leverage.
Inserted a 1/8 " dowel in the trailing edge for the radius and duct taped the sides of the skin to keep it in place. slowly put in bend untill i got my desired edge. Put a square on the surface and it was very flush from the trailing edge forward.Think it turned out well for a first attempt. May have Rob, the EAA tech rep check it out before I do final riveting.
