It was a little tricky figuring out the correct width of the flange. It's not a straight shot from front to back. The plans identify 7 spots. You're supposed to maintain the same outside shape as the other side of the fuselage. So I just measured off a center line to figure that. The really tricky spot was # 6. I just taped a piece of plastic to the frame to simulate the fabric covering to get an accurate measurement. For my fuselage I'm 5/8" from CL at spot #6 to match the other side. At spot # 2 I'm 1-3/4" over from CL.
I have the extra tube at the top for the float mod. That actually made it easier to put the top forward flange on. I finished the top and started on the bottom.
