I was getting ready to weld the tube to plate on the butt corner but it looked like that would interfere with the bracket that is bolted on. I looked closer at the change noticed and I realized that the weld is actually on the other side. That means the tube has to pass through the circular mounting plate which means my tube is too short and the center hole of the circular plate needs to be bigger than 1-1/2".
I cut a new tube that is long enough to pass through the circular plate. I used a small drum sander to enlarge the center hole of the circular plate. I then welded the tube and plate together. Then I welded the tube to the left axle using the modified guidance of two rosette welds to attach the mounting bracket to the axle.
