"The last cluster to weld after doing the recommended cluster sequencing ironically was the ""mother cluster!"" - the top center of the firewall. Seems appropriate to be the last one. The welding of the basic fuselage is done! Took me around 68 hours to do all the cluster welding in just over a month.
I started making parts for the landing gear. I made the 8 ""U"" shaped parts that will be part of the fuselage attach fittings. I had a 2' piece of 3/8"" x 3"" steel that I made the bending jig out of. I wasn't sure if my band saw could handle it but I cut the ""V"" shaped tang out with it and it worked fine."
