Brief Description:  Bending bottom frame

"I used some 2x4 blocks in a few key points to keep the frame over the layout as I raise it one inch for bending. I started out with 1 inch square tubing under station ""B"" and ""D"" (I later moved it to the longerons because it's a difference of 1/8""). With the frame 1"" off the table I bent the front 2"" up. It easy to as one person standing at the front of the table using the torch in one hand and raising station ""A"" with the other.

The bending at station D and E was a little more tricky. No one was at home when I was working on this and I didn't feel like waiting so I had to devise a way to lift the tail as I heated the longerons at station D and E. I put a step ladder over the tail area with a tube crossing and use a rope to raise the tail as I heated the longerons. It worked very well - so it is possible to make these bends without any assistance if necessary (or if your too impatient to wait for help!)

With the bottom bent I then tacked the diagonals that weren't yet tacked."
