Brief Description: Finish inspection ports, make panel stiffeners
I installed the aux tank inspection cover and backing ring on the wing panels. Next I started work on the main tank bay cover stiffeners. After cutting the blanks it was time to bend them on the brake. My brain would not cooperate and I could not remember the sequence I bent the top ones and I couldn't invision what differnt bends would result in so the first one I screwed up. The bend sequence is to bend the outside bend first then flip the piece over and bend the next line to form the "leg".
One thing I got to thinking about is proper clearance from the fuel tank and the cover to accommodate the stiffener. I reinstalled the tank and it was a little tight. The first two stiffeners I bent are either going to need to be adjusted or remade. Also the welding spots on the bottom of the tank on the baffle line can interfere with the stiffener. The fuel tank needs to be in position to properly locate the stiffeners.
