Brief Description: Drill and cleco left flap attach angels and ribs
The first thing I did was make the attach angles. I have a bunch of extra 1' strips of .032 so I made all the angles out of that. As I was drilling and clecoing the attach angles to the left spar I came upon a discrepancy in the plans. The rib flanges between hinges 1 & 2 are shown differently on drawing 8 & 9. I looked at different websites and noticed both in use. Eric faced his flanges outboard so I did the same.
Then I drilled and clecoed the nose ribs. The next step is to attach the .063 doubler at the hinge locations. I pulled out the sheet to cut the parts and noticed that is was 6061-T6. The plans call for 2024-T3. I thought maybe they sent the wrong material so I checked my receipt and sure enough I ordered the wrong stuff. So I had to order more material and skip that step for now. The next thing I did was drilled and clecoed the rear ribs.
