Brief Description:  Landing lights

I don't plan on flying at night much if at all but I still want to have landing lights. Mainly for the safety factor of other airplanes seeing you during the day and also for "just in case" - I want a back up plan.

I've been searching the other Bearhawk websites looking for some good idea's for landing lights but I haven't had much luck. After looking around at Sun-n-Fun I decided to try to adapt an RV landing light kit.

I ordered two RV10 landing light kits from Duckworks. I spent some time today head scratching as to how I'll make these work. Looks like I'll have to make a mounting plate for the sides because the light bracket needs something right where the lightening hole in the nose rib is. It does look like I can use the main bracket with some modifications.

One of the main concerns was the shape of the Plexiglass. It looks like right out of the kit it will form very well to the Bearhawk leading edge.
