I washed all the parts in soap and water, then acid etched and did the Alodine treatment. The weather was perfect so I left the parts out in the sun to dry. They were able to dry completely and I was able to spray the primer before it got too late in the day.
This was the first time the weather has been good enough to spray outside which really saved a lot of time and actually made the process kind of pleasant. It's usually too windy, cold or raining (or all three!) to do it outside.
