"I made a jig on the table for the T19 portion of station C-S. I managed to screw up the layout with the legs measured at 36-1/2"" instead of 33"". I was even being careful because I have just enough 1x.065 tubing to do it. I didn't realize my mistake until I welded the whole part up. When I first realize what I did I had a short moment of panic thinking I don't have enough material now. It actually worked out because the legs were longer than I need so I cut them off and redid the whole thing. I still had a 13"" piece I could use for the top. Now I have 4"" extra! Whew... Oh well it was good practice.
With the part welded together I put it back in the jig and estimated the cut at the legs but kept it a little long. I put a level across the door sills to position it correctly. Then just kept grinding a little at a time off the legs. It took quite a few trips to the grinder to get it to fit. To make sure the top was flat across the sills I put a string across to check for level and center. With it finally fitting I tacked it and added the T14 tube going to the aft."
