Time to sand the cowl. Applied smooth prime, both with sprayer and roller. After curing, applied a power guide coat to the surface and went to work with the orbital sander. Slow going with 320 grit sandpaper, but with the guide coat, it was easy to tell where more sanding was needed. Each cowl went through 3 cycles. Produced a very nice surface.
