Brief Description: Fitting up rudder and brake pedals
Fit the rudder pedals to the fuselage. Drilled the delrin bearing blocks and then drilled them to the L-angle on the side of the fuselage. Per the plans recommendation, I match-drilled 4 sets of mounting holes, about 1 inch apart, to give some flexibility in positioning when we get to that point.
Once bolted in place, I fit and drilled the stiffener that mounts to the firewall. Movement of the pedals was quite smooth, with no binding.
In the first picture, note the "extra" rudder cable tab on the inboard side of the left rudder? Apparently, this is a Vans's freebe; the -14 uses a center cable, the 7 uses a side cable. Other builders grind them off and paint; I'll do the same.
