Brief Description: Engine Build - Cylinder and Piston Assembly
I used a special pushrod measuring tool to measure the length of the push rods needed for each side of engine. The four rods on each side of the engine were cut the same length for the one measurement that was made for that side. The tube have a hole in each end to allow oil to flow thru them. I found out the hard way that it was not a good idea to use the wood work bench as I pounded the tip into place. I used two angle aluminum pieces I had and a regular hammer to pound the tip into place. The soft aluminum protected the rod as I had to pound them hard on the concrete floor to get them in place. I also heated the ends of the rods with a lighter. That seemed to help as well.
