Brief Description: Took break to fly to Neosho, MO
This morning I loaded up my wheel axle assembly and made a flight up to Neosho, MO to visit my friends Shayne and Phyllis that I met though our local EAA chapter. Shayne and Phyllis are both experienced aircraft builders and great mentors to me during this building project. Shayne had built a Sonex Waiex a few years ago and I felt it would be a good idea to have him check out the work I had done on the axle assembly. I wasn't expecting to get to try out their new Zenith 750 on for size but I did. I can't tell you what a thrill it was to be riding around in a plane that I saw them building in their garage less than a year ago. I the plane ran great and is truly a work of art! Shayne and Phyllis are planning to fly it to Oshkosh EAA AirVenture in a couple of weeks and it will be a lot of fun to see the plane on display.
