Brief Description: Installed the Duckworks landing light mount
Installed the Duckworks landing light mount. I spent 30 minutes or so reading over detailed duckwork instruction sheets. Installed the nut plates and cut the mounting plate to the size that will fit between rib 11 and 12. It was important that after the mount was installed that the ribs maintain a 10 inch spacing to align with the pre-drilled holes in the forward skin. After I installed the plate I noticed that I was about 1/8 of an inch too wide. That’s just great! Oh well, tomorrow I will take the mounting plate off and shorten it by 1/8 of an inch to get the spacing where it needs to be. Later I saw on another builders site that they clecoed a 10 inch spacer onto the ribs to hold the spacing correct. What a great idea!
